Our entire life is going through a natural rhythm of contraction and expansion, of movement and rest, of light and dark. If we surrender to the natural rhythm of life, we consciously return to our balance and start to remember the stillness within.
When we take the time to be still with everything that is happening around us, we can understand what we really need. In this way, we can pick up what we need and let go what is no longer of service to us. In this continuous movement, this dancing with being, we learn that polarities arise from polarities.
Taoism teaches us that the cause and the effects are aspects of the same, one thing. They are both mysterious and profound. At their most mysterious and profound point lies the Gate of the Great Truth. When we follow the natural rhythm of life, life will show us the way.
“Figure out the rhythm of life and live in harmony with it.”
~ Lao Tzu
